Privacy Policy

Who we are
This privacy policy applies to The Salty Chip Podcast ("we", "us"). If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us by replying to any email we send you.
What we collect
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and the timestamp + IP of your subscription as proof of consent. That's it. We don't track you around the web, we don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Why we collect it
Solely to send you the weekly newsletter you signed up for. We use double opt-in: you won't receive anything unless you click the confirmation link in the first email.
Where it's stored
We use SendGrid (Twilio) as our email service provider. Your email address is stored on their servers in order to deliver our newsletter.
Your rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold on you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Erase your data — every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link, which deletes your email from our list. You can also reply to any email and ask us to remove you.
- Withdraw consent at any time, with the same effect as erasure.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Cookies
This website does not set tracking cookies. The newsletter form submits directly to our own server.
Changes
If we update this policy materially, we'll note the date at the top and, where appropriate, email subscribers.
